A GOOD MAN’S NEVER STUCK - this phrase is the summation of the UM philosophical approach built on the premise that one’s determinative willpower is the central key to overcoming life’s challenges. It is a mindset. One that realizes a good man does not quit, is not lazy, and does not stop if there is more to do or try. This means that a good man does not stop working on a viable solution to the life-presented challenge. It is centered on a good man’s meaningful review of his own internal mental blocks or excuses that he so often allows to pervade his thinking and actions. This review allows a good man to identify when he has not put in all the effort that is possible and reasonable on a given matter … and to blow past his roadblocks to more effective thinking and action. It is a mindset where a good man realizes that life is not about whether you win or lose, rather it is about whether you win or learn. A good man knows that becoming stuck in a rut of losing in life’s challenges is normally rooted in poor thoughts or actions that do not apply the available lessons to learn from the activity. A good man does not become stuck in losing ways because he is willing to make the changes necessary to become successful. One day at a time, one action at a time, one hundred percent of the time. A good man understands that he will continually be a work-in-progress and does not think more highly of himself than he ought. Rather, in the lowliness of a mind that acknowledges his own shortcomings AND his own giftings ... a good man humbly walks forward focused on the future not on the past.
